Opposition Rallies Behind B Sudershan Reddy for Vice Presidential Race

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has officially endorsed retired Supreme Court judge B Sudershan Reddy as the joint candidate of opposition parties for the Vice Presidential elections. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh announced the party's support, highlighting Reddy as a contender representing the INDIA bloc coalition.

Expressing gratitude for the nomination, Reddy called upon all Members of Parliament to back his candidacy in the upcoming election. Emphasizing unity across regions, Reddy stated that geographical distinctions were irrelevant in this national decision, underscoring the importance of citizenship and parliamentary voting in electing the Vice President.

Nominated as the opposition candidate, Reddy was warmly received by MPs of the INDIA bloc upon his arrival in New Delhi. His nomination is seen as a strategic ideological effort to uphold constitutional values against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The Vice Presidential election will be held on September 9, with results announced the same day.
