Germany seeks new partnerships with the Global South, finance minister says

Germany is seeking new strategic partnerships with countries in the Global South, German Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil said on Wednesday.
"While others are turning inward internationally and even jeopardizing international institutions, we are sending a clearly different signal: we want more international cooperation," he said in Washington, where finance chiefs are gathering this week for the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.
