India and China have resumed high-level military discussions, focusing on sustaining peace and security along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh through established mechanisms. The engagement indicates efforts by both nations to overcome past tensions and work towards a harmonious relationship.
The Corps Commander-level meeting, held on October 25 at the Moldo-Chushul border point, marks the first such dialogue since the Special Representatives' talks in August between India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The talks were reportedly conducted in a cordial and constructive environment.
Following extensive dialogues, both sides acknowledged progress made since the 22nd Corps Commander-level meeting in October 2024 and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and stability along the border. Initiatives include coordinated management of border issues and enhancing bilateral cooperation, paving the way for a stable and forward-looking relationship.
