AHINDA organisations have called on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to affirm Siddaramaiah's leadership, insisting he should serve as Chief Minister for a complete five-year term. The appeal aims to quash rumors of a potential leadership change in Karnataka.
This plea was made as representatives from AHINDA organisations sent letters to Rahul Gandhi and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, urging decisive intervention to quell the speculation. They argued that Siddaramaiah's leadership significantly contributed to the Congress party's success, particularly after the 2023 assembly elections.
The issue arises amid unverified claims of a possible mid-term change involving Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D K Shivakumar due to an alleged power-sharing deal. Nevertheless, Siddaramaiah has asserted his commitment to serving the entire term, contingent on the party's high command's decision.
