Ahead of a historic moment for devotees, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya saw a massive influx of visitors on Monday. The occasion—well in advance of the 'Dhwajarohan' or flag hoisting ceremony scheduled for November 25—is drawing large crowds eager to witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoist the saffron flag above the revered temple.
The preparations for the grand ceremony are in full swing, with Ayodhya and the temple adorned with elaborate floral decorations. Approximately 100 tons of flowers are being used, transforming the city into a vibrant floral tapestry. Speaking to ANI, a devotee expressed excitement at witnessing 'Darshan' of Ram Lalla, sharing humble sentiments of being fortunate to be part of this spiritual event.
Devotees, including those from Karnataka, have lauded PM Modi's efforts in Ayodhya's development. The city has seen significant improvements under his leadership, and visitors are expressing national pride and gratitude. Meanwhile, heightened security measures are in place, including deployment of the Rapid Action Force (RAF). The Chief Minister's office emphasized that the event promises to invigorate various economic sectors.
The temple's floral decorations pay homage to Lord Ram's preferences, with marigolds primarily placed for deities, including Lord Ganesh. Historic Ayodhya's flag will return to its rightful place, thanks to Indologist Lalit Mishra. This sacred flag carries three symbols: Om, the Sun, and the Kovidara tree, significant in Hindu spiritualism.
