Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has inaugurated the Arunachal Pradesh unit of the Republican Party of India (Athawale) in Lekang, Namsai district. He announced the party's plan to field eight candidates in the state's panchayat elections, focusing on the ideology of social justice and equality inspired by Dr. B R Ambedkar.

Athawale highlighted that RPI (Athawale) has a presence in 27 states and expressed confidence that under the leadership of state unit president Likha Saaya, the party will expand its influence in Arunachal Pradesh. He reaffirmed the party's commitment to good governance and its allegiance to the Constitution.

Addressing the press, Athawale emphasized the central government's dedication to the development of the Northeast and highlighted India's economic progress under the NDA government. Despite economic growth, he acknowledged challenges faced by farmers, workers, and women, pledging continued government efforts to address these issues.
