The office of the West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer has invited political parties and civil society groups to pre-arrange appointments to discuss election-related issues. This initiative, as announced on Friday, is designed to bolster coordination among all parties involved.
As per directives from the Election Commission of India, the CEO's office consistently engages with these groups to deliberate on matters pertinent to the commission's functions, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of all stakeholders, according to a press release.
To facilitate this, appointments must be scheduled with ample notice, since the chief electoral officer often has multiple commitments. Specific issues and team compositions should be communicated ahead of appointments to ensure productive discussions.
