The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JKLI) regiment welcomed over 250 new recruits from the region on Monday, marking their induction in a solemn ceremony.

The 262 young cadets hailing from districts such as Kupwara, Baramulla, Budgam, and Srinagar took their oaths as soldiers, pledging to defend the nation.

Lt Gen P K Mishra, General Officer Commanding of the White Knight Corps, reviewed the passing-out parade at the JAKLI Training Centre in Dhansal. Families of the recruits were awarded the 'Gaurav Padak' as they witnessed their sons' transformation from recruits to soldiers committed to safeguarding India's sovereignty.
