Sanjay Raut, a prominent figure of Shiv Sena (UBT), expressed sharp criticism on Monday, accusing the BJP leadership of attempting to sideline its ally, the Shinde-led Shiv Sena. Raut's bold assertions come as political tensions rise in Maharashtra ahead of the local bodies elections.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule, a Maharashtra minister and key BJP leader, swiftly dismissed Raut's accusations. He attributed them to 'frustration' and emphasized the unwavering support of top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, for their allies within the NDA.
Raut argued that BJP's strategy aims to undermine the Shiv Sena faction aligned with Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Highlighting previous attempts, Raut claimed that BJP's approach could eventually weaken the Shinde camp, reflecting broader tensions within the Mahayuti alliance. Meanwhile, Bawankule asserted Shinde's integral role in the NDA.
