In a stringent warning to Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Senior Tripura Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman announced that any attempt to manipulate electoral rolls would be met with serious repercussions. Addressing a gathering in Indranagar, Agartala, he stressed the importance of maintaining a transparent voter registry.
Roy Barman, alongside Congress booth-level agents, underscored the need for an accurate and ethical electoral process. He referenced past alleged discrepancies in states like Maharashtra, Bihar, and Haryana, and insisted that Tripura's electoral rolls must remain above reproach.
The Congress leader criticized the BJP for allegedly obstructing their training program, accusing the ruling party of efforts to derail preparations. Roy Barman expressed hope that Chief Minister Manik Saha would intervene to ensure a fair political environment.
