Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, in a press conference on Sunday, accused the Opposition of being disorganized and defended the jurisdiction of appointing Leaders of Opposition as lying with the presiding officers of the assembly and council.
Fadnavis highlighted that the state government had no control over this process and emphasized his administration's willingness to debate any issues brought up during the session. Despite the upcoming session being brief due to local body poll regulations, he promised maximum legislative productivity.
The state government's focus remains on developmental issues, such as providing financial assistance to rain-affected farmers, which 92% have already received. Additionally, he noted ongoing preparations for local elections amid complex political dynamics.
