On Tuesday, Kerala's General Education Minister V Sivankutty accused R Sreelekha, a former DGP and now a BJP candidate, of violating the election code of conduct. The accusations stem from a social media post where she allegedly shared survey results that favored the NDA.
Sivankutty described Sreelekha's actions as a severe breach of the election guidelines, highlighting the seriousness of someone who once held high law-enforcement office now allegedly challenging the integrity of the democratic process.
He further emphasized that distributing such unauthorized surveys aims to mislead voters and requested stringent actions by the State Election Commission. Meanwhile, local body polls continue in seven southern districts of Kerala.
