Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav reiterated his commitment to the party's alliance with Congress despite recent electoral challenges in Bihar. Speaking at a press conference, Yadav accused the BJP of using a mapping app to influence voter data in Uttar Pradesh, raising concerns about potential voter suppression.

Yadav alleged that the app, purportedly developed by a company that contributed to the BJP, could lead to the deletion of three crore voters. He urged the Election Commission to focus on enhancing voter participation through technology rather than erasing voters. The SP chief also connected the app's use to the BJP's strategy for the 2027 Assembly elections.

During his visit to Hyderabad for the 'Vision India: AI Summit,' Yadav emphasized the need for AI to be used for societal benefits. He also called for Aadhar to be linked to voter lists to ensure integrity. Yadav conveyed confidence that an SP-led government would harness AI effectively in Uttar Pradesh.
