Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev addressed media concerns over the Local Development Front's (LDF) performance in recent local body elections, attributing potential impacts to the ongoing Sabarimala gold loss case.
The LDF, experiencing significant losses as compared to the 2020 elections, is examining election results especially in areas surrounding Sabarimala. Rajeev clarified that no political figure involved in the case would receive protection.
The opposition's prior boycott of legislative proceedings for a CBI inquiry was mentioned, yet they now approve the existing Special Investigation Team's (SIT) inquiry. Despite undertaking several development projects, the unexpected electoral outcomes, particularly in Kochi, invite introspection within the LDF.
