A Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) supporter collapsed during a rally addressed by party chief Vijay in Erode on Thursday. The individual was swiftly taken to the hospital for medical assistance. This event marked TVK's first significant gathering since the Karur stampede, attracting considerable public and political attention.

In Erode, actor and party founder Vijay took the stage at the Moongilpalayam Meeting Ground for the first time since the incident, striking a combative note against the ruling DMK. With senior leader K.A. Sengottaiyan now in TVK's ranks, having left the AIADMK, Vijay sharply criticized the DMK, accusing it of spreading false propaganda.

Vijay lambasted the DMK for its alleged false campaigns over issues like NEET exemptions and gas subsidies. Describing the party as inseparable from problems, he promised that TVK would provide a strong political alternative. He critiqued the DMK's performance, accusing it of defamation and claiming a misleading portrayal of Tamil Nadu's education system.
