On Thursday, Union Minister Piyush Goyal and former Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik were among the notable figures casting their votes in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. Goyal, who voted in Borivali, highlighted that Mumbai's development and prosperity align with the aspirations of India's 140 crore citizens. He expressed confidence in the city as a catalyst for the nation's growth.

Meanwhile, Ram Naik, the 92-year-old BJP leader, cast his vote in Goregaon. He noted that these civic elections, coming after a long hiatus, offered Mumbai residents the chance to elect their representatives effectively following national and state elections.

Other BJP leaders, such as Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar and former MP Kirit Somaiya, were also present at the polls. Narwekar has family members running in the elections, further showcasing the high personal stakes involved. All participants encouraged Mumbaikars to engage robustly in the democratic process.
