Political Tensions Rise as Congress Leader Blocked in Murder Case

Congress president Ajay Rai was detained by police when trying to meet the bereaved family, leading to claims of political pressure and suppression.

Rai, who was in Muzaffarnagar to offer condolences, was halted and taken into custody during his attempt to visit the family. He shared a video showing a confrontation with the police, accusing them of stifling opposition voices under pressure from the ruling party.

Prominent political figures, including those from the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, have expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation. The investigation has been handed over to the Crime Branch due to a lack of trust in local authorities, as protests and public outcry continue to grow.
