In a stand that signals confidence, Muslim League leader P K Kunhalikutty asserted that the decision of Kerala Congress (M) to stay within the LDF will not impact the United Democratic Front (UDF). Kunhalikutty spoke during a conclave, expressing optimism in light of UDF's recent electoral successes.

Kunhalikutty addressed speculations regarding Kerala Congress (M) switching allegiances post-defeat in local elections, making it clear that no formal discussions occurred with the UDF. "Our victories in bypolls, Parliamentary, and local body elections underscore our self-reliance," he emphasized, seen as a nod to UDF's strategies going forward.

The UDF, he elaborated, is focusing on a broad-based agenda, confident of an electoral win. Opposition Leader V D Satheesan also denied speculations of talks with Kerala Congress (M), asserting the UDF's expanding base and welcoming ideologically aligned allies.
