Rahul Gandhi Spurs Congress Strengthening in Haryana and Uttarakhand

Rahul Gandhi visited Kurukshetra to engage with district Congress unit presidents from Haryana and Uttarakhand. On Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Kurukshetra to address a training camp for district unit presidents from Haryana and Uttarakhand. The event, held from January 13 to 22, is part of the Congress's 'Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan', designed to reinforce its organizational foundation across these states.

The closed-door training sessions, limited to district chiefs, took place at the Punjabi Dharamshala, under stringent security measures. Barricades were set up by police on the approach road to the venue. Haryana Congress president Rao Narender Singh highlighted Kurukshetra as a strategic middle point for attendees from both regions.

As a continuation of efforts to energize the party base, the camp covers topics such as the Congress's history, ideology, and future directions. The appointment of district presidents in both Haryana and Uttarakhand was completed last year, after a decade-long pause, marking a step towards organizational rejuvenation.
