Seychelles President Patrick Herminie is set to embark on a pivotal six-day visit to India, starting this Thursday, aiming to fortify relations between the two nations. This visit marks President Herminie's inaugural trip to India since he took office last October.
Invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the visit will align with the celebration of 50 years of diplomatic ties between India and Seychelles. Scheduled from February 5 to 10, the itinerary includes high-level discussions with PM Modi on critical bilateral, regional, and international issues, particularly in trade and defense.
The Seychelles President plans to visit Chennai and Mumbai for key business events, underscoring India's Vision MAHASAGAR, which emphasizes security and growth in the Indian Ocean, where Seychelles holds a significant maritime partnership. Officials express hopes that this visit will invigorate cooperation and deepen people-to-people connections between the two countries.
