On Thursday, Congress leader Vivek Tankha called upon Home Minister Amit Shah to reassess the detention of Sonam Wangchuk, a climate activist held under the stringent National Security Act (NSA).
Wangchuk was apprehended following protests in Ladakh that resulted in fatalities, with allegations of incitement against him.
Tankha argues that Wangchuk's detention is unwarranted, given his significant contributions to climate action and education, and appeals for his immediate release, citing public interest and Wangchuk's health condition.
