Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has announced a significant expansion of his party's PDA coalition, welcoming more than 15,000 new members, including notable political figures. The announcement was made during a 'Prem Prasar Samaroh' event intended to foster social unity.
Yadav criticized the current government, led by the BJP, accusing it of corruption, misgovernance, and failing infrastructure projects originally initiated by the SP. He reiterated the party's call for a caste census to ensure fair representation and stressed the need for strengthened efforts in social justice.
The SP hopes these newly joined members will bolster their influence in the coming 2027 Assembly elections. As part of this strategic expansion, Yadav highlighted planned infrastructural advances and condemned the government's handling of various national issues, from farm laws to unemployment.
