Mass Surrender: A New Dawn as 130 Maoists Lay Down Arms

A significant surrender saw 130 Maoists, mainly from Chhattisgarh, laying down 124 weapons before Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Among the surrendered, four were from Telangana and one from Andhra Pradesh. The surrender marks the end of the Telangana Maoist committee, as confirmed by DGP B Shivadhar Reddy.

In a significant move, 130 Maoists surrendered to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday, symbolically laying down their weapons, including AK-47 rifles.

According to DGP B Shivadhar Reddy, the majority of the surrendered ultras, 125 to be precise, hail from Chhattisgarh, with four from Telangana, and one from Andhra Pradesh.

This mass surrender signals the end of the Telangana state committee of Maoists, which has now disbanded, marking a crucial shift in the region's security landscape.
