During a recent event celebrating International Women's Day in Tadepalli, YSR Congress Party leaders raised alarms over the increasing insecurity faced by women under the current coalition government. The gathering, led by State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and former minister RK Roja, criticized N Chandrababu Naidu's administration for failing to safeguard women's dignity.
Leaders pointed to a deterioration in women's safety, noting a rise in crimes and societal issues such as drug influence. They credited former leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for numerous women empowerment initiatives, emphasizing schemes like Amma Vodi and housing aids that put women in key societal roles.
RK Roja urged women leaders within the party to mobilize against the government's perceived inadequacies, citing disillusionment among women statewide. The event also honored national para badminton champion Padala Rupadevi, reflecting YSRCP's focus on celebrating women's achievements despite current challenges.
