Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has leveled serious allegations against the BJP-led Gujarat government, accusing it of systematically targeting AAP workers ahead of the upcoming local body elections. In a letter to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Kejriwal points to 145 FIRs and more than 160 arrests over the last three months as evidence of a political crackdown.

Kejriwal claims the BJP is employing these tactics in a bid to undermine AAP's growing influence in the state. He argues that the AAP has emerged as a strong, honest, and patriotic alternative, and suggests that such popularity has prompted fears within the BJP of losing power in Gujarat.

In an alarming prediction, Kejriwal suggests a plan is underway to arrest 10,000 AAP workers, potentially thwarting the party's ability to participate in local elections. Reports have also surfaced of police intimidation, with officers allegedly visiting the homes of AAP members to pressure them into abandoning the state or facing severe consequences. These actions, Kejriwal claims, are part of a larger conspiracy to eradicate AAP's presence in Gujarat.
