Vijay Promises a 'One-Finger Revolution' for Puducherry

On Saturday, TVK chief Vijay launched a scathing attack on political rivals in Puducherry, calling the DMK-Congress alliance 'confused' and the NR Congress-BJP partnership 'exhausted.'
Speaking at a rally ahead of the April 9 polls, Vijay condemned national parties for not granting statehood to Puducherry despite their central authority. He urged supporters to rally behind the party's 'whistle' symbol, promising a 'one-finger revolution' inspired by his film dialogue.
Vijay promised that a TVK-led government would make '100 per cent effort' toward statehood. He unveiled ambitious plans including Rs 25 lakh medical insurance for families, 200 free electricity units for the impoverished, expedited local elections, and the establishment of a University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Puducherry.
