The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has outrightly dismissed rumors of internal discord and power struggles following the unfortunate death of party chief Ajit Pawar. In what the party describes as baseless speculation, senior leaders Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare are alleged to be vying for control.
NCP spokesperson Suraj Chavan emphasized that such narratives are unfounded. He clarified that, as per the party's constitution, Praful Patel retained the power to assign 'AB' forms to party candidates as the working president during such emergencies.
Ajit Pawar's wife, Sunetra Pawar, who has now assumed the role of NCP president, reaffirmed her leadership through clear communications with the Election Commission of India, delegating responsibilities systematically and negating any previous assumptions of discord. The NCP maintains its political alliances intact within Maharashtra.
