On Friday, Congress MPs raised serious allegations against the Centre, accusing it of misleading the Parliament over the Women's Reservation Bill. The MPs opposed the bill's connection with the Delimitation Bill, emphasizing the need for an all-party meeting before any voting takes place.

Mallu Ravi, a Congress MP, criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making 'misleading statements,' stressing that the Congress party fervently supports the bill's passage. Ravi pointed out that the linkage to delimitation prompted their opposition and highlighted the absence of an all-party discussion, a move the government has avoided, according to him.

In a heated exchange, Ravi also condemned BJP MP Tejasvi Surya for derogatory remarks about Telangana, equating its separation with India and Pakistan. The contentious statements spurred backlash from regional leaders, demanding a public apology. Congress MP Ujjwal Raman Singh supported calls for clarity on the government's intentions and cast doubts over their dedication to passing the legislation without thorough discussion.
