In anticipation of the upcoming second phase of the West Bengal assembly elections, a high-level coordination meeting is set to take place on Sunday. Top poll officials, police officers, and central forces commanders from three Kolkata election districts will convene to assess readiness.
The gathering, which will occur at the Dhana Dhanya Auditorium, aims to ensure comprehensive preparedness and coordination among all agencies. It takes place three days before the April 29 polling date.
The meeting gains importance as it follows an impressive voter turnout exceeding 93% in the first phase. Attendees including the Commissioner of Kolkata Police and election observers will focus on force deployment, vulnerability mapping, and administrative communication.
