Sunil Ambekar, a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has linked the historic 1947 Partition of India to a 'population imbalance'. As the RSS marks its centenary, Ambekar addressed this contentious issue during a public interaction in Indore on Sunday.
Emphasizing the core principles of Hindutva, Ambekar spoke about unity and inclusiveness as fundamental elements of societal integrity. He warned that shifts in population balance, such as declining fidelity to original traditions, could threaten a region's identity, unity, and cohesion.
Ambekar also expressed concern about illegal infiltration and religious conversions carried out through 'force, inducement and deception', which he said further disturb the demographic balance. Urging for corrective national measures, he also touched upon the lagging legislative progress on women's quota in political roles, asserting that women's contributions to social and political spheres will grow.
