Suresh Jethliya, a respected figure in Maharashtra's political landscape, has passed away at the age of 64 after suffering a heart attack, confirmed family sources. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader had a distinguished career marked by significant influence in Jalna district, especially within the Partur assembly constituency.
Jethliya, who was elected as a Member of the Legislative Council in 2004, showcased his political mettle by defeating BJP leader Babanrao Lonikar as an independent candidate in the 2009 assembly elections. Despite losing in 2024 as an independent candidate, he joined Ajit Pawar's NCP in 2025, strengthening his political foothold.
Recognized for his formidable presence and dedication, Jethliya's contributions will be remembered as his last rites are conducted in Partur. His passing leaves a void in local politics, reflecting a career characterized by resilience and commitment to public service.
