The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Puducherry, P Jawahar, revealed comprehensive plans for the upcoming vote count following the April 9 assembly elections. With the vote count scheduled for May 4, the process aims to maintain transparency and efficiency throughout all four regions: Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam.
Six dedicated counting centers have been established across the Union Territory, with specific locations in each region. The counting will be carried out under strict security protocols, adhering to the Election Commission of India's directives. Over 600 tables and a significant team of supervisors, assistants, and observers have been allocated to manage the process smoothly.
Security is paramount, with substantial police deployment ensuring orderly proceedings. Only authorized personnel will access the counting halls, with identity verification in place. The Election Commission has also planned for real-time updates of trends and results through its official site and the ECINET App, promising accuracy and transparency for all stakeholders involved.
