Addressing reporters, Govindan cited exit polls that suggest the LDF will secure between 60 and 69 seats, just shy of the majority needed to govern.

Surveys indicate that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is the state's most popular leader, with no significant anti-incumbency factor detected, contradicting the opposition's claims.
