Prayers and Politics: The Recovery of Ajay Rai

Avinash Pande, the Congress national general secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge, performed prayers at Lucknow's Hanuman Setu and Kalibari temples on Sunday, seeking the speedy recovery of Ajay Rai, the state's party chief.

Ajay Rai, aged 56, was hospitalized at Medanta Hospital on Friday following a sudden health decline. Reports indicated low sodium levels, and he was admitted in an unconscious state with seizures. Under the care of critical care specialist Dilip Dubey, Rai's condition has since stabilized.

Concern for Rai was echoed by prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi, expressing their support and wishes for his quick recovery. Despite being in the ICU, Rai shows signs of improvement.
