Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva praised the party's significant political victories in the Assam and West Bengal elections, highlighting a decisive shift in voter sentiment against illegal immigration. This milestone, with BJP forming its third consecutive government in Assam, represents a crucial chapter in the party's expansion strategy.
Touting the West Bengal victory as momentous, Sachdeva expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi. According to Election Commission of India trends, BJP leads in 195 out of 294 seats, signaling a noteworthy challenge to Mamata Banerjee's TMC, which leads in only 87 seats, reflecting evolving political dynamics.
West Bengal's elections witnessed the highest voter turnout since independence, showcasing vibrant democracy with polling phases recording over 92% turnout. Previously, TMC had maintained a stronghold with 213 seats in the 2021 assembly polls, while BJP emerged as a formidable opposition, marking significant inroads with 77 seats.
