The Mizo National Front's resilience lies in its divine roots, according to party president Zoramthanga. Addressing a function, he explained that for over six decades, the party has been guided by a spiritual purpose rather than political might.
This assertion follows the party's recent loss in the Aizawl Municipal Corporation polls to Zoram People's Movement. Despite the setback, Zoramthanga emphasized the MNF's role in initiating crucial reforms within the AMC, which he claims laid the groundwork for positive change, albeit amid internal and political strife.
He accused the ZPM of obstructing the previous MNF-led AMC's functioning by refusing to release necessary funds. The recent political shifts underscore intense electoral efforts and the significant influence ZPM holds across Aizawl constituencies.
