Raghav Chadha, a member of Rajya Sabha, has made serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab government. On Tuesday, Chadha, along with three other MPs, met with President Droupadi Murmu to present their case regarding alleged harassment after their departure from AAP to merge with BJP.
Chadha claims that the state machinery is being misused to target those who exercised their constitutional right to leave the party. He highlighted several instances of alleged misuse, including attacks on former cricketer Harbhajan Singh and industrialist Rajendra Gupta, along with frivolous legal cases against MP Sandeep Pathak.
Appealing directly to Punjab government officials, Chadha urged them not to succumb to political pressure and to act in accordance with the law. He warned that the misuse of power for political revenge could have serious repercussions, advising against the dangerous game of vendetta politics.
