The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president, Atul Bora, has expressed gratitude toward the electorate for their overwhelming support of the BJP-led NDA's success in Assam. Bora, speaking at a press conference, acknowledged the NDA's strategic win in securing 102 seats in the 126-member assembly.
Bora criticized the Congress party, suggesting its disconnection from the public contributed to its poor electoral performance. He highlighted the NDA's initiative to focus on essential sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, and education to elevate Assam to one of the top five states in the country.
As the NDA prepares for its third successive term, Bora emphasized the political awareness of Assam's people who voted for a government that fulfills its promises. Talks have begun within the AGP and BJP for forming the new government, though Bora refrained from commenting on potential ministerial posts.
