Asaduddin Owaisi, President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), launched a sharp critique against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of exploiting the Muslim community as a mere vote bank. He challenged the perception of Banerjee as a liberal leader, pointing instead to the corruption observed under her leadership.

During a press conference, Owaisi extended thanks to West Bengal voters for backing AIMIM candidates, despite their inability to secure seats, and pledged to correct past errors. He projected a promising future for the party in Malda and Murshidabad while acknowledging the electorate's decision to empower the BJP.

Owaisi also attacked Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, alleging the displacement of 50,000 Muslims. He emphasized the necessity for Muslims to establish independent political voices rather than supporting secular parties that fail to counter the BJP effectively.

Referencing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Owaisi noted the downfall of ruling parties in constituencies where SIR was executed, including Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal and MK Stalin in Tamil Nadu. He urged consideration of these factors alongside parallel processes like NRC and NPR to safeguard citizenship.
