South Korea put a halt on evaluating its role in the U.S. operation 'Project Freedom,' meant to escort vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. This decision follows President Donald Trump's move to put the plan on hold.
During a press briefing, South Korean presidential national security adviser Wi Sung-lac indicated there is no immediate need to review Trump's invitation to participate in the project.
With the plan currently stalled, South Korea is taking a cautious approach, echoing Trump's pause on the initiative.
