Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unveiled a transformative approach to pension disbursement, granting April's pensions via a streamlined one-click process. This move disbursed a significant sum of Rs 111 crore 82 lakh 52 thousand to 756,682 pensioners under state-sponsored schemes, including old age, widow, and disability pensions.

During a program at the Secretariat, Dhami highlighted the government's dedication to empowering weaker socio-economic groups. He announced regular camps to ensure every deserving individual benefits from Social Welfare Department pensions. Over 60,000 new beneficiaries are annually integrated into these programs, enhancing welfare coverage.

The Chief Minister called for more practical income criteria and amalgamated information for better accessibility. He urged officials to implement best practices across departments and proposed communication enhancement with pensioners via call centers to improve scheme delivery.
