Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, 81, has been released from intensive care but continues to recover from pneumonia in the hospital. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been moved out of the intensive care unit but remains hospitalized as he recovers from pneumonia, according to his spokesperson, Ted Goodman, on Wednesday.

Giuliani, aged 81, had been admitted in critical condition. His spokesperson conveyed the family's gratitude for the support and prayers they have received during this time.

Giuliani first rose to international prominence for his leadership during New York's recovery following the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. However, his subsequent efforts to contest President Donald Trump's 2020 election defeat have overshadowed his earlier acclaim as 'America's Mayor.'
