Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Saturday congratulated his West Bengal counterpart Suvendu Adhikari and his cabinet colleagues, expressing confidence that the BJP government would usher in a new era of development and good governance in the state. Adhikari took oath as West Bengal's first BJP chief minister at the Brigade Parade Grounds in Kolkata, followed by BJP legislators Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Kirtania, Kshudiram Tudu and Nisith Pramanik as ministers. ''A development-oriented BJP government has been formed in West Bengal. I extend heartiest congratulations to the newly sworn-in ministers and am confident that under the leadership of Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari Ji and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, this government will script a golden chapter of good governance, security, prosperity, and public welfare in the state,'' Choudhary wrote in his X post. He said the historic mandate received by the BJP marks the beginning of an era of development, opportunities, and self-confidence in West Bengal. The new BJP government will infuse new energy into the people's aspirations and lead the resolve of Viksit Bengal to fruition.
