Senior CPI(M) leader Pinarayi Vijayan has transitioned to a rented residence after the Left Democratic Front (LDF) fell from power in Kerala's most recent Assembly elections.
After attending a CPI(M) Polit Bureau meeting in New Delhi, Vijayan moved into the house, located at Bakery Junction in Thiruvananthapuram, with a welcome from his family and prominent party figures, including his son-in-law P A Mohamed Riyas and fellow party leader V Sivankutty.
Having vacated the official chief ministerial residence at Cliff House, Vijayan awaits the decision on his potential role as Leader of Opposition, which would afford him a new official residence as determined by CPI(M).
