TMC MLA Madan Mitra has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata, with hospital officials confirming his stable condition on Tuesday. Mitra was taken to Belle Vue Clinic on Monday due to urinary system complications.

Mitra, an elected representative from the Kamarhati seat in North 24 Parganas, is under medical observation. A hospital official reported, "He was brought in with urinary system issues, but his condition is stable, and he is responding well to treatment."

Doctors treating the TMC leader anticipate that he could be discharged within a day or two, assuming his condition continues to improve. A close associate revealed that Mitra has been under physical and mental stress before and after the elections. As a former minister in the Mamata Banerjee government, he secured his assembly position by defeating BJP's Arup Choudhury with a margin of 5,646 votes.
