Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed profound sadness on Wednesday over the unexpected passing of Prateek Yadav, calling it 'extremely heartbreaking.' Prateek, 38, was the younger son of the late Samajwadi Party founder, Mulayam Singh Yadav, and the stepbrother of party president Akhilesh Yadav.
Prateek Yadav died early Wednesday morning after being taken to the civil hospital around 6 am. 'The sudden demise of Shri Prateek Yadav Ji is deeply tragic,' CM Adityanath shared on social media, emphasizing the loss to the family and their immense grief.
Cementing his condolences, Adityanath later visited Aparna Yadav's residence, offering support and praying for Prateek's soul to find eternal peace. Despite his political lineage, Prateek Yadav preferred a life away from politics, with his wife Aparna actively serving in the BJP as vice chairperson of the State Women's Commission.
