Kerala's political landscape witnessed a calm transition as V D Satheesan, the Chief Minister-designate, met senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala at his residence. The meeting underscored mutual respect and long-standing camaraderie between the two leaders, despite the earlier contest for the top post.
Satheesan, chosen by the AICC, visited Chennithala to seek his blessings. The pair held a private discussion lasting 45 minutes, reflecting their personal and professional relationship. 'His blessings and support will always be with me,' Satheesan remarked, describing the encounter as one between brothers.
Despite being rivals for the chief ministership, Chennithala welcomed the party high command's decision, expressing readiness to work alongside Satheesan to challenge the LDF's 10-year governance in Kerala. The decision regarding Chennithala's role in the Cabinet remains with the party leadership.
