Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has unleashed a barrage of criticism against the BJP-led Centre, accusing it of masking the true economic status of the country and imposing an 'undeclared lockdown'. Speaking in Patna, Mann accused the central government of concealing vital information about oil, gas, and gold reserves from the public.
Mann alleged that the Centre had artificially kept fuel prices low until the elections were over in various states, only to burden citizens with substantial hikes immediately after. He claimed that citizens have the right to be informed about the country's economic situation and criticized the inflation stemming from repeated fuel price increases.
Addressing another issue, Mann emphasized Punjab's enforcement of a stringent law against sacrilege, fulfilling a demand long-awaited by Sikhs worldwide. He called for other states to adopt similar measures, reaffirming Punjab's commitment to protecting the honor of the Gurus.
