Truck runs over pedestrians in Mathura, two killed
A container truck lost control on National Highway-19, killing two people and seriously injuring two others who were standing outside a tea shop near a hospital early Wednesday.

Two persons were killed and two others seriously injured after a container truck ran over them near a hospital on National Highway-19 here early Wednesday, police said.
The incident occurred around 3 am when the truck travelling from Delhi towards Agra lost control, hit a divider and then ran over four persons standing outside a tea shop, Station House Officer (SHO) Ravi Tyagi said.
Locals alerted the police and rushed the injured to a hospital, Tyagi said.
Lalit (26), a resident of Chandoli Chhata, and an unidentified person died during treatment, while Tejpal (45) and Vikas (22) have been admitted to a hospital, the SHO said.
Police have taken the container truck and its driver into custody and are investigating the matter, officials said, adding the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
