CM Bhajanlal Sharma hears public greivances during Banswara visit

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma addressed public grievances in Chudada village, issuing on-the-spot directions and taking immediate action on issues including drinking water, irrigation, and a humanitarian transfer request.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Thursday interacted with villagers during a morning visit to Chudada village in Banswara district after an overnight stay there and issued on-the-spot directions on public grievances.

During the visit, Sharma stopped at various locations, spoke to local residents, distributed chocolates to children, and held discussions with villagers over tea.

Officials said villagers raised issues related to drinking water and irrigation, following which the chief minister directed the administration to take immediate action.

In one case, a woman requested the transfer of her husband, an assistant engineer, from Sagwara to Banswara in view of their son suffering from cerebral palsy.

Taking, what officials described as a humanitarian approach, the chief minister instructed officials to act immediately, and transfer orders were issued within hours.

In another matter, the medical and health department placed Kushalgarh Block Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Girish Bhabhor under Awaiting Posting Orders (APO) status following complaints of alleged financial irregularities raised by departmental employees during the chief minister's visit.

The department directed Bhabhor to report to the Directorate of Public Health and Medical Services headquarters in Jaipur with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, residents of Thummath village requested the chief minister to facilitate construction of a Maa-Baadi centre during his interaction with villagers.

Following Sharma's directions, the Tribal Area Development Department sanctioned Rs 16.20 lakh for the project, officials said, adding that Rs 14.58 lakh would be released in the first phase.
